612: Does Democracy Sell?

On today's episode, I'm joined riding solo, sharing my thoughts on Justin Amash's remarks at the LP of Illinois State Gala, where he proposed that Libertarians should take "democracy, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights" as their messaging differentiators when trying to sell our ideas. Is he right?I can't help but think that if we follow through with this strategy, we'll end up selling a lot of things that are not inherently Libertarian—the same way that "Hope & Change" was a message that appealed to many people who don't know what they're getting behind when they hear it. The truth is that most Americans aren't really interested in hearing about democracy right now—rather, they're interested in security and prosperity for themselves and their families. Personally, I don't think that message doesn't address either of those concerns, but you tell me...Does democracy sell?Let us know down below in the comments!

On today's episode, I'm joined by Jason Loftus, filmmaker and director of Eternal Spring (2022).Eternal Spring is a documentary that shows the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, who have been targeted by the Communist Chinese Party for their belief systems.
