384: Controlling the Conversation and Planting Seeds with the Right People (feat. Brian Nichols)

384: Controlling the Conversation and Planting Seeds with the Right People (feat. Brian Nichols)

Being bold and principled allows you to control the conversation, but also gives you the opportunity to plant seeds with the right people in your market.

It's a one-one-one with you and me for today's Morning Sales Huddle solo short.

Being bold and principled allows you to control the conversation, but also gives you the opportunity to plant seeds with the right people in your market.

Brian: "Instead of responding to narratives, we have to get better at confidently and articulately setting the narrative and thus setting the conversation. Otherwise, we're constantly playing catch up and constantly trying to explain ourselves versus being bold and reaching people on the truth versus the bias."

Welcome to The Brian Nichols Show your source for common sense politics on the we are libertarians network as a sales and marketing executive in the greater telecommunications cybersecurity industry, Brian works with C level executives to help them future proof their company's infrastructure for an uncertain future. And in each episode, Brian takes that experience and applies it to the liberty movement. And this is why we talk about being the trusted advisor you should be able to help us that expert guidance and all the opinions that I'm sure that you have and help lead them towards not just a decision, but the right decision. Instead of focusing on simply winning arguments or being right. We're teaching the basic fundamentals of sales and their application in the world of politics, showing you how to ask better questions, tell better stories and ultimately change people's minds. And now, your host, Brian Nichols.

Well, Happy Wednesday there, folks, Brian Nichols here on The Brian Nichols Show. And thank you for joining us on of course, another fun filled episode. As always, I am your humble host. And today, yes, it is a one on one with you and me. And we're going to be doing some morning sales huddles. And yes, if you are interested in signing up for the morning sales, huddle head, the Brian Nichols show.com right there at the homepage, you can go ahead and give us just give us your first name and email address. And instantly you will five days a week, ballpark 6am or so you'll be getting an email from yours truly. And it's literally the type of stuff I do every single day with my team in the private sector when I'm going out. And we're trying to figure out the best ways to have conversations to enter into conversations people are already having, and specifically meeting them on the issues they care about today. This is something we've seen come up a couple of times here in more recent episodes. It's the conversation about narratives, and the conversation about going after the right people with those specific narratives. So I just recently had two of our morning sales calls go out again, if you are interested in getting this in your inbox every morning again, Brian Nichols show calm right there on the homepage. But I'm going to start out with the first of the Morning Sales huddles, I did. This was one titled, Why don't they get it? Now think back to when you were in school. We all had that one kid in class, you know, that one kid, the one who just never seem to get it. And it didn't matter what the it was, they would ask their question, you would roll your eyes because you knew how simple the answer was, the teacher would then try to explain, the student wouldn't understand. And then round and round, you would go through that vicious circle. And this happens all the time in the world of both sales and in politics. So many times I've sat down with an IT director or a CIO, who's in their mid 60s. And they are firmly ingrained in that yeah, we've always done things this way mentality. And think of politics. Goodness, just thinking back to a conversation, I held my grandfather in law who is in his early 80s. You really think he's open to a new way of thinking. I've always found in those situations, the best I can do. And the best you can do is not to focus on trying to work on that one person, but instead look around, see who is around you, and who's paying attention and listening that you can influence along the way. Even if that one student in class just wasn't getting it 10 Other kids who maybe are asleep but confused now had a different way of thinking due to the way the teacher tried to explain it to that one student. And even in the case of my grandfather in law, where he couldn't wrap his head around the impact of the Fed in terms of our monetary supply Do know my father in law and and the other folks who are listening in, we're paying attention and having those seeds of curiosity planted, that they will almost certainly asked me about later on, when the time does come up. So even when your prospect just doesn't seem to get it, always know that there's someone else paying attention and trying to understand things in a different way. Look for the people who take pause and listen, and then ask questions. That is, who your market is. And I promise you, I promise you, they will be much more open in terms of getting it. Now that's in terms of how to have the conversations and who you should be speaking to. But also the importance of being confident and saying what you believe even when it might not necessarily be the most popular position, which is why it's so important in setting narratives. Instead of responding to them, as we talked about with Carla Howell on the program, a few episodes back, but also in terms of controlling the conversation. So this was from our Monday morning sales huddle, starting off anyone spend some time watching the Kyle Rittenhouse trial recently, few temperatures are a little high, huh. It's been revealing watching some on the prosecution side how they've been so incensed at Kyle Rittenhouse. Heck, not just a him, but anyone lumped in on the defense side. And it's not just a disagreement, but it's true disgust and disdain. And then it hit me. He who sets the narrative as control the conversation.

Back in the summer of 20, we were greeted all of us by the quote unquote, fiery, yet mostly peaceful protests for months and months. Yeah, remember those peaceful protests that burned down dozens of businesses. And then there's Kyle, who was the quote, racist, white supremacist vigilante looking to shoot up BLM protesters, and then you fast forward almost a year and a half. And not only have both of those narratives been completely blown out of the water, but have shown to be completely outside of the world of reality. But it became a topic of conversation and dominate the headlines. Because the narrative was set by those in the corporate media, those with the microphones. Once that narrative is set, you're always playing catch up when trying to explain and what do we know about explaining when you're explaining, you're losing. So instead of responding to narratives, we have to get better at confidently and articulately setting the narrative and thus setting the conversation. Otherwise, we're constantly playing catch up, and constantly trying to explain ourselves versus being bold, being principle and reaching people on the truth versus the bias. So that was our morning sales huddles for two days in a row. If you got some value, and you want to go ahead and find out more, we'll make sure you're not missing out, go to the Brian Nichols show.com. And you can go ahead and subscribe there. But yes, folks, thank you for for sitting down with us on a little bit shorter of an episode. And by the way, if you did not have a chance yet, go ahead and check out the awesome awesome episode I just did over with Stuart from Liberty down under you want to talk about what's going on. Down in Australia. It's it's truly mind blowing. So if you miss that conversation, make sure you go back, check it out. Because it's it's really eye opening. And it makes you really focus on the things that we really take for granted. And it comes down to our just basic liberties, honestly, the ability to live your life to speak freely to congregate and protest freely. Yeah, it's something that we need to make sure that we're really paying attention to also making sure we're raising up and making sure people are aware because a lot of people they turn off they are watching the corporate media, they're not seeing what's actually taking place and partly because the corporate media is working in tandem with the governments who are enacting these just absolutely insane mandates that are quite literally authoritarian. I mean, there is no other way to look at what's happening down in Australia and think otherwise. But with that being said, coming up tomorrow, Thursday, Kenny Cody is going to be joining us on a brand new segment that will be taking place you're in The Brian Nichols Show Cody's concerns, and he's been doing great work with some awesome articles he's been writing over at Newsmax, focusing specifically on this episode coming up the GOP we have Way too many rhinos in the GOP and hey we talk about the Libertarian party standing as an alternative party this is partly why because you can you really depend on those in the GOP to do what they say.
