I am as always, your humble host joining us live from our Stratus ip Studios here in lovely Eastern Indiana. dolet cyber attacks or outdated Business Technology, put your company at risk. Learn more at Brian Nichols show.com forward slash Stratus ip. So guys, yes. Today we are going to be talking about the recent events which had been taking place between the daily wire and conservative media personality. Steven Crowder, and I know some of you if not most of you are thinking oh great, another fight be to between two big names in the movement. Who cares another fight another day? I know. But I assure you this dispute is in fact important, because it gives us an opportunity to learn exactly what are we learning? Well, its importance of unity and the importance of collaboration within our greater liberty and libertarian movement. And we're going to learn from this whole debacle here with Steven Crowder and daily wire. So first of all, let's start things off. So for those of you who are unaware of the entire circumstances here, Steven Crowder recently accused the daily wire of offering a contract on unfavorable terms. So the daily wire CEO Jeremy boring responded to originally Steven Crowder's claims with a video in which he confirmed that yes, the company had in fact, Crowder an offer, which was $50 million over four years, but stated that Crowder had misconstrued and misrepresented the details of the contract. Now, let's take a look at some of the specific accusations that were made here by Steven Crowder, he claimed that the contract included clauses that would reduce his fees if the content was not able to be monetized on the platform. He also said that there was other other clauses that would penalize him $100,000 For every contract episode, he wasn't able to be able to produce. Now, Jeremy boring stated that these clauses were in fact standard in the industry, and that the terms related to YouTube. D monetization, specifically in the initial contract would have likely been removed later in drafts. But I guess the question is, from the standpoint of looking at this situation, in particular, is this clause standard this industry? And if they are, are they fair, and I'm don't eat I'm not standing here pretending to be an expert in contract law. That's not me. But I do know, through my experience in business, and in sales, it's important to read contracts, understand the terms of the contracts for what you're signing, and if there's something that you don't agree with. That's why you go ahead and negotiate. But the bigger issue here is the public dispute and the fact that it is serving as a distraction from the larger issues facing and I would say the greater liberty movement now, our Ben Shapiro the daily wire. Steven Crowder, are they necessarily liberty movement? I would say liberty movement friendly coalition building opportunities, like they are not by any stretch, you know, our enemy. So I think we should be looking at that at least as a chance to help build up a good relationship there. So let's be real when you're looking at this public dispute with the daily wire and Steven Crowder, I just say it's silly. Truly, it's silly. I think it's a distraction from the real issues that we're facing, not just as a movement, but as a greater country. I mean, we have issues that we have to be focusing on like how do we solve inflation cost of living? civil liberty issues? How do we reduce the size and scope of government? Oh, and by the way, how do we help change the culture change people's minds along the way, and let's not forget and now a word from our sponsors in the world of wine, there are so many choices and that's why blood of tyrants wine has tyrants losing their heads whether you're looking for a new go to at home or watching the press your friends at a party, a lot of tyrants wine has you covered and if you're trying to get rid of some pesky parents in your life, well, we've got the cover too, and the Brian Nichols show.com forward slash wine and get $5 off your order. One more time, Brian Nichols show.com forward slash wine freemen don't ask permission. So take a sip, you'll be glad you did that this stupid, silly, petty squabble. It's harming the overall reputation and effectiveness of the movement. It makes us look like a bunch of bickering kids instead of a serious unified movement, because what we learned in the last election cycle was that folks are looking for what serious candidates are looking to make sure that their vote can be trusted, that they feel that their vote is not just to be wasted on some random, silly person, but actually, somebody's taking this seriously. So I say All this because I know a lot of you are probably shirts. Surely thinking right now, Brian, you're just preaching unity and collaboration, but how do we actually do it. And while I say it starts with you starts with me, it starts with each and every one of us because we need to put aside our personal differences and focus on the bigger picture. We need to strive for unity, and collaboration within our communities, our organizations, but also specifically focusing here on the greater liberty movement. And when I say collaboration, I don't just mean working together on some random project or campaign, I mean, truly listening to one another, understanding one another, hearing each other's ideas and perspectives, even when we don't fully agree with them. And when we do this, we can accomplish great things. So in conclusion, for today's episode, this dispute between the daily wire and Steven Crowder is a reminder, I think, for us of the importance of unity and collaboration within the libertarian movement. Because guys, at the end of the day, I think we're building something bigger, something better. And something that's gonna make a really big difference in our culture, and the way that we do things going forward. So I think it's important for us to remember as folks in the liberty movement, that we are on the same team here. And our goal is to do what spread message that the message of liberty and to help increase freedom across the board. It's a movement that's bigger than any one person. It's a movement that's bigger than any one organization. So it's important that we all remember that and we work together to achieve our goals. So I say all that Do you agree, do you disagree?
